The Interreg VI Meuse-Rhine project TRANSIT aims to promote cross-border cooperation on sustainable mobility in the Meuse-Rhine Euregion (Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands). The project has a three-year duration \u2013 from 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2027 \u2013 and a total budget of \u20ac3.14 million.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ITEM\u2019s work in the framework of the Transit project is co-financed by the Regio Deal Parkstad Limburg II.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"394\" height=\"257\" src=\"https:\/\/crossborderitem.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/a69e455d-309a-4378-916c-68154315a84f-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4816\" srcset=\"https:\/\/crossborderitem.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/a69e455d-309a-4378-916c-68154315a84f-1.png 394w, https:\/\/crossborderitem.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/a69e455d-309a-4378-916c-68154315a84f-1-300x196.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 394px) 100vw, 394px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Responsible for TRANSIT project: Aachener Verkehrsverbund<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AVV is the lead partner in the project, working with a total of 11 partner institutions from the Meuse-Rhine Euroregion. These include transport companies and public transport authorities, as well as government agencies, universities and research institutes. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project partners aim for a more efficient and targeted cooperation in the realisation of public transport services in the border triangle. To this end, they want to strengthen cross-border public transport as a whole and make it more attractive and comfortable for passengers to use.
