This event is organised in context of an Interreg NL-DE project BRIDGE on cross-border healthcare resource pooling.
How can the Netherlands and Germany build a stronger workforce and more resilient healthcare?
What’s needed to enable healthcare professionals to work in both countries in the future?
Cross‑border resource pooling requires substantial effort. Differences in regulatory frameworks, laws, educational pathways, language, financing structures, and operational protocols all contribute to its complexity.
Join us for an online policy workshop on Wednesday, 18th March. In this interactive session, we will explore the opportunities and barriers for cross‑border deployment of medical personnel.
Through this workshop, we aim to look ahead and identify what may be feasible in both the short and long term, while acknowledging the challenges in cross‑border cooperation.
The session will be led by Dr. Matthias Freise (University of Münster) and include expert contributions from Susanne Sivonen (ITEM) and Dr. Corinna Glasner (UMCG and CBI). Some of the topics focused on will include: diploma recognition, dual/“double” qualification pathways, and insights drawn from 14 years of experience.
