Sem Jans is a researcher at ITEM. She has a background in social sciences with a bachelor’s degree in European Studies and a master’s degree in Society, Science and Technology Studies. From 2024 to 2026, she contributed to an NWO-funded project at Maastricht University (SBE) on cross-border and inter-organisational cooperation between the police, the Public Prosecution Service and municipalities in the context of crime prevention in the EMR. At ITEM, she will be working on projects such as the Schakelpunt Grensbelemmeringen.
