We are proud to announce that our Interreg EMR EDEN-Medical project has received the Impact Maker Award at Interreg Spotlight 2026, held on 27 October 2026!
The award recognises projects that create lasting impact beyond their own activities. An independent jury selected EDEN-Medical based on its impact on citizens, cross-border collaboration, cooperation between government, industry and academia, and the scalability of its results.
Our project explores how cross-border drone logistics can strengthen healthcare resilience and improve the availability of critical medical supplies – particularly in emergencies and crisis situations.
Together with nine partners from Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium, we are working to address the medical, technical, regulatory and operational challenges of cross-border drone transport. Our goal is to demonstrate how cooperation across national borders can help overcome existing barriers and contribute to a more resilient healthcare system.
This award is not only recognition of our collective efforts, but also of the wider potential of EDEN-Medical: showing how cross-border cooperation can pave the way for innovative solutions in healthcare – in the Euregio Meuse-Rhine and beyond.
A big thank you to all our project partners and everyone contributing to making this vision a reality!
EDEN-Medical is co-funded by the European Union through the Interreg Meuse-Rhine (NL-BE-DE) programme, with additional co-financing from the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and the Province of Limburg.
