Anti-cumulation of parental allowances in cross-border cases (B-solutions)

The GIP Aachen-Eurode received questions of cross-border workers who are having difficulties with applying for parental allowances. From the provided cases it becomes clear that more clarity is needed regarding how authorities decide about parental leave schemes and how the information provision and exchange is arranged in cross-border situations. The report discusses the national parental allowance schemes in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium, from design and conditions to the international aspects.
