Education, courses and trainings

Spreading ITEM’s knowledge, and investing in an extensive network, has been done for years by providing workshops and courses. These activities are aimed at stakeholders such as Euroregions and government institutions, as well as private players. In terms of content, the training courses focus on cross-border issues relating to, for example, European and international tax law, pension law and social security law, but also around themes such as language and culture. The trainings are an important factor in raising awareness among governments and institutions about how important cross-border cooperation is for the quality of life and employment in border regions. This all starts with the knowledge that lies within ITEM, stemming from Maastricht University’s interfaculty cooperation.
