Are the border regions in the picture?

On Wednesday 22 November 2023, the Lower House elections will be held in the Netherlands. The future government and House of Representatives largely shape the cross-border policy pursued in the Netherlands. In the party programmes, the political parties formulate their plans for the future of the Netherlands, and directly or indirectly shape cross-border cooperation and the development of border regions. What are the plans of the different political parties on the national level? What do those plans say about cross-border cooperation? What are the effects for the border regions? Are there any topics we are missing?

This Reflection presents the plans of the participating parties in the Lower House elections and reflects on them from a cross-border perspective.

During the event NEXT ITEM- Nieuwspoort Tweede Kamerverkiezingen, zijn de grensregio’s in beeld? the results will be discussed.
